To kick off the new season we invited everybody down for a fun doubles tournament on the newly rejuvenated courts. With 10 ladies and 10 men, mixed pairs were drawn at random to take on the challenge of 36 games.

After 2.5 hours of entertaining action two champions emerged victorious. Congratulations to our winning teams Julie & Dave and Ali & Rex who both scored a mighty 24 games each!

And of course no tournament would be complete without a double-table spread of homemade goodies and tasty treats.

Big thanks to everyone who helped organise the event, brought food to keep everyone going, and to all who donated the £5 entry fee to help beef up the club’s coffers.
